thumpthumpthumpthumpthump. my heart is seriously beating about a million miles per hour. Dre just told me his parents are considering moving back to Ohio in February. oh. mygod. all i can say is no. no, no, god fucking no.
you know how when you meet someone, and you just get this feeling that they're special? that somehow, they'll change your life. you /know/ they'll change your life. you know that when you say "i'll never forget you", that you mean it with all of your heart. you know that even when you're old and gray headed, and sitting in some nursing home rotting away, that when you think back to your childhood, they'll instantly pop into your head. you know this. and when you think of your life without that person, you see nothing. absolutely nothing. because the whole life you imagined yourself having when you were a child never included someone as amazing as that person. and now that that person is in your life, and you try to imagine your life without them? -- it just doesn't work. because they've become a part of who you are, a part of your existance. so if they're not a part of your life anymore, where would your life be? what would you be doing? these questions are one's that you cannot answer, because you just /can't/ seem to picture your life as it is without this particular person. because it just wouldn't be your life. it would just be another story never written. does that make sense?
to me, Dre is this person. Dre is my absolute best friend in the entire universe, and he's a part of who i am. when i think back to january of 2008, and remember who i was back then -- it's nothing like who i am now. Dre has helped me come out of my shell, and discover who i really am. he's kept me sane when i didn't think it was possible, and he's taught me lessons in life that i never would have learned had it not been for him. i believe that every person in the world is born with a twin soul in another person, and that it's up to each person to find their twin soul. a soul that fits with theirs just perfectly, that will love them for who they are, no matter how crazy or weird. and i believe that Dre is my twin soul. he just... gets it, when other people don't. he understands what i'm thinking, even if i don't say a word. he understands the silence, the rants, the odd expressions that cross my face daily. he just understands unlike any other person in Wilmington, North Carolina. and there are a shitload of people in Wilmington, believe me.
so, let's just put this in perspective -- let's just say that Dre WERE to leave in February. what would happen then? i just. i don't understand it. i thought his parents left Ohio for a better life? Dre has told me about things in Ohio, and they sound rough. He's told me that if he had grown up there, he would probably be getting in trouble with the cops a lot, doing drugs, partying, getting into fights and drinking an assload, because that's how most of the kids in Ohio were. at least from where he was from, he told me. and i just can't seem to wrap my head around why his parents would want to put themselves, dre, and his two sisters back into that situation. it just doesn't make any damn sense. Dre is such a great person, and he has so much potential, i would hate to see him not be able to reach that full potential because his childhood gets corrupted because of the neighborhood he's living in. that would kill me. honestly.
so, i don't know what else to say. i don't want Dre to move. at. all. i just. no. no, no, no, no, fuckinghellNO. i just. no.
Dre cannot move. end of story.
